Dr. Hossain leads a cross-border legal practice serving Chinese companies, investors, and expatriates operating in Bangladesh. What sets his practice apart is his fluency in Chinese — built over six years of living and working in China — which allows him to communicate directly with Chinese clients in their own language, without the delays or misunderstandings that come with relying on interpreters.
He holds a Ph.D. in Law from the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), an LL.M. from Tsinghua University, and an LL.B. from Bangladesh, and is fully fluent in Chinese, English, and Bangla.

• Represented a Chinese state-owned enterprise in a criminal revision petition before the High Court Division involving alleged document forgery.

• Navigated a fraudulent apostille complication flagged by a foreign embassy during active litigation.

• Advises Chinese investors on anti-money-laundering exposure and reporting obligations under Bangladesh Bank guidelines.
• Guides clients through foreign remittance declaration and compliance procedures for cross-border capital transactions.
Contract Drafting
• Reviewed and redlined an exclusive distribution agreement between a Bangladeshi distributor and a Chinese medical equipment supplier, identifying multiple distributor-unfavorable terms.
• Drafts retainer agreements and compliance advisories for Chinese corporate clients operating in Bangladesh.

• Advises cosmetics and medical device manufacturers on DGDA regulatory licensing pathways under the Drug and Cosmetics Act 2023.
