The Law Counsel provides pro bono legal services to clients who are unable to rectify the instances of grave injustice due to lack of financial resources. The firm has represented individuals in cases of miscarriage of justice, unlawful arrest and detention, custodial torture and unlawful child custody.

The Law Counsel regularly files applications before the High Court Division in the public interest to secure enforcement of fundamental rights. Recently, the firm has challenged the constitutionality of various provisions of the Digital Security Act, 2018 which is widely regarded as draconian law resorted to by the government to suppress dissidents.
